Due Diligence is one of the programs under the Malaysia Commercialisation Year (MCY) initiative that has been implemented since 2017. MCY is a platform to help local researchers, innovators and entrepreneurs accelerate the commercialisation of R&D products funded by the Malaysian Government to the local and international markets. Due Diligence is an assessment process used to determine Commercialisation Readiness according to the Technology Readiness Level (TRL) tool which is measured based on a scale of 1 to 9. Due Diligence workshops are held to screen, analyse and examine commercialisation potential of local R&D products/technologies/services and apart from identifying those that meet the criteria of MCY Special KPIs. The Due Diligence Workshop also identifies the types of interventions and facilitations needed such as coaching and pitching sessions, exhibitions and expos so that commercialisation activities can be implemented effectively.
